Help building a team

Hi everyone, I have been playing Blustone for the past week and I am slowly progressing, but I find excavations lvl3 and pvp super hard to advance, some tips on how to build a team for both pvp nd por whould be awesome.

I just transcende Akasha and I use Karl as my main, not sure if I should 4* Diana and what my other character should be.
