Gather round peeps. Now it's been months since nishino's hallway was established, and we have since seen pardis make a youtube video about making bs community a better place, talk about the achievements and friendliness of his discord server - basically what I see as his commitment to make bs community a better place.
And then a drama happened, and - color me surprised - it's about pardis, or nishino, or Jill-whatever his name is now. It seems that he's been pretty condescending and banhammer-happy with some members in his discord server. And thus we have the present situation where people are speaking up - not so much to defame him in spite, but more so to warn other newer players of his "noteworthy" attitude. Shout out to ZeroSkyes36 - kitty it's good to see you :)
That said, let's reflect on this juicy drama and learn "how to lead a Discord server for BS": (disclaimer: these tips alone will probably not keep your server afloat, but they're good pointers on how to be a decent person)
Tip 1: Don't dictate others to not hit you and threaten to ban them if they did.
If they respect you enough, they will naturally try not to hit you if they could help it. Targeting other players? That's fine as long as you don't make yourself sound too petty.
Tip 2: Be consistent with your words.
Don't shame KuroLogski for ruin slooting in PM and then publicly celebrate the very same act of ruin slooting in your server the next week. It just shows how two - faced you can be.
Tip 3: Encourage constructive criticism and discussion.
Don't just ban people. They may be gone from your server but they too, have mouths - in this case fingers - to tell others of your faults outside of your server.
Tip 4: Actually be friendly with your members
You could be friendly with them for the first couple of weeks, but the real challenge is being consistent with.. Oh who am I kidding, it's pardis and he doesn't take advice from players lower than Rank 10. You could pretend to be nice to people but they're gonna find out about your "noteworthy" attitude sooner or later so good luck playing Saint.
That's all from me peeps, have a good one and happy hunting!
Oh, and shout out to my boy Fukurama, it's good to see you're still active bruv :)
