iOS update...any news?

Has anybody an idea when the update for iOS is gonna come out? The events are almost over and so far no iOS user was able to claim the rewards for them. Of the events are gonna be over BEFORE the update comes out, are the iOS users gonna be compensated for not being able to claim the special rewards? I mean I already spent almost 700 Mandas and got a couple of points at the other event, it really would be a bummer if I (and all the other iOS users) would NOT be able to claim them afterwards, NOR being compensated properly.
